AWESOME trip! We’ve driven alongside the Trinity on the 299 plenty of times – but this was our first experience actually in the river, and it was incredible! Friendly owner Pete kindly accommodated us on a last minute trip request, and our amazing guide Marissa truly pulled out all the stops to make it an unforgettable experience! My favorite moment? It might have been my thrilling, first-ever cliff jump (or the second one, which was higher and scarier and I had to think about carrots in order to take the plunge – but so rewarding)! Or maybe it was when I alone fell out of the boat before the first class 3 rapid and swam it while Marissa and my new friends cheered me on. It could have been our super scenic snack stop right in the middle of a rapid later in the day! Or perhaps it was simply floating along the gorgeous, azure waters of the Trinity, looking at deer coming down to drink in the shade under the trees and spotting turtles sunning themselves on rocks. Too many favorite memories to choose just one – and all of this in just a half-day trip! It was a magical experience with truly excellent people. I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend 🙂
